This Week (8/22-8/30):
August 29: Join us for a catered dinner, and silent auction from 5p-8p at GFSD for Operation Christmas Child. We have our planning team but still need donated items or services (certificates), accepted through August. Most importantly, now is the time to buy and sell tickets for this fun event! We still need to know how many people will attend to plan for food. For information or donations, reach out to Marguerite, Susan, Joyce, Ann Marie, or Amber. Thank you!
Weekly Events:
Tuesday Night Bible Study – Tuesdays at 6:30p at the Linfoots’ home, studying the Pauline Epistles in chronological order.
Ladies Bible Study – Wednesdays at 10a in the Fellowship Hall at GFSD. Starts in September.
Wednesday Night Bible Study – Wednesdays at 6:30p at Malia’s home, studying the Minor Prophets.
Thursday Evening Bible Study – Thursday evenings at 6pm at the Willis’ home.
Saturday Prayer – Every Saturday morning at 8a in the Cottage.
Sunday Prayer – Every Sunday morning at 9a at GFSD.
Sweet Oasis – Every Sunday morning before service at 9:15a in the Cottage.
Monthly Events:
Fellowship Luncheon – Every first Sunday, following service.
Ladies Study & Fellowship – Every first and third Thursday, 10a, location varies.
Family Night – Every third Friday of the month. Time and location will vary.
Men’s Fellowship – Every third Saturday at 8:30a at GFSD.
Marriage Matters – Every second Saturday at 5p at GFSD.
Walk Pray Eat – August 22 at 7a in La Jolla. See Susan for more details.
Reminders:
September 5: The Celebration of Life for Larry Howie will be held at 2p at Grace Fellowship. Larry always enjoyed potlucks, so there will be a potluck following the service. A signup sheet will be forthcoming.
September 19: The men’s fellowship for September will be for dinner at 5p at GFSD
If you’ve ever felt like your quiet time was a task and not a delight, you’re not alone. Beginning in September, the Ladies of Grace will be studying the book The Pursuit of Holy Leisure by Cara Ray to learn each individual’s unique approach to spending time with God and how to re-orient our hearts toward rest. Please join us on Wednesday mornings from 10a-12p in the Fellowship Hall at GFSD. Several ladies already have the book, but if you need one, books can be purchased through Amazon (click here).
